CEO & Co-Founder

Alice is a lawyer, wellness expert and triple bottom line real estate developer. As the CEO of Urban Villager, Alice is well versed in all aspects of property, including capital raising, market research, creative acquisitions, site selections, wellness and marketing. A strong believer in using capital for good, Alice is an optimiser, handling complex situations with clarity and creating the best outcomes for all parties involved whilst remaining true to Urban Villager’s vision that people and the planet can thrive together.

When not working, Alice can be found trail-running, competing in dog sports with her rescue working dogs, or barefoot on the beach, usually with a coffee (in a keep cup!) in hand.

Tibor Grubits

Design Scientist and Co-Founder

Tibor is a design scientist, sustainable real estate developer and financial modeller with a strong background in information technology. As the CXO of Urban Villager, Tibor ensures that sustainability and eco-technology are incorporated efficiently and profitably into real estate development. With a unique background in consultancy and design, Tibor loves ensuring that the details that make spaces liveable and desirable are financially feasible.

In his down-time, Tibor can be found at Parkrun, in the garden, or reading up on the latest advances in smart and eco-technologies. Or drinking coffee.

Allan Joy

Allan Joy

Head of Partnerships (Community Sector)

Allan has a diverse background including CEO of Child and Family Services (Cafs) Ballarat from 2013 until 2019. In that period, Cafs grew from around $12 million to around $24 million with staff numbers growing from around 170 to almost 300. Cafs delivers around 40 programs and in 2016 won the Federation University Commerce Ballarat Business of the Year.

Whilst CEO of Cafs, Allan was elected to the peak welfare body in Victoria the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare. Allan also worked as an executive public servant in different portfolio areas and jurisdictions as Director Child Protection in the NT and Director Office of Small Business (and Small Business Advocate) in SA. In these positions, Allan represented the respective jurisdictions at national meetings.

Allan has also worked as advisor to the Minister of Family and Community Services SA, advisor to the Commonwealth Minister for Small Business and Executive Assistant to the Attorney General SA. Allan has significant management experience in child protection and community health and was CEO of the Anxiety Disorders Foundation of Australia.

Allan ‘s passions include family, fishing, fitness and AFL and AFLW football.
